Austin Texas Book Trail 2025
April 12 + 13, 2025 ✽ EXPLORE THE MAP
The Austin Texas Book Trail is an annual bookstore crawl dedicated to celebrating the literary spirit and supporting local independent bookshops in the greater Austin area. Each year, we gather bookstores in Austin and surrounding areas for a one-weekend “Book Trail,” with participating stores offering exclusive discounts, prizes, and/or activations to serve and build community.
The 2025 Book Trail will take place on April 12-13, with a Saturday morning coffee meetup at Mañana Dos and Sunday evening afterparty at Community Garden bookending the weekend’s celebration.
Our mission is to uplift newer bookstores, cherish the old, and energize the local literary community — readers, booksellers, and bookstore owners alike. The inaugural Book Trail in 2024 saw 400+ participants and 2000+ recorded bookstore visits across the one-day event, with some bookstores reporting an additional $5,000 to $8,000 in sales compared to their average Saturday. (Check out our 2024 recap here!)

“For this poster, we wanted to feature some fun and whimsical Austin animals on the move. The Austin Texas Book Trail is called a bookstore crawl, but crawling’s not the only way to participate — the critters on this poster are swimming, flying, slithering and bounding between our featured local shops.”
