What’s the story of your store’s origin?
Lioness Books opened in 2024. As a former high school teacher, owner Sarah Ambrus has had the privilege of witnessing the transformative power of reading and has carried this passion through her volunteer and community advocacy work. She understands that visiting a bookstore is an experience, and wanted to partner with local businesses to bring literacy directly into the community. Lioness Books was the result of her desire to bring the books to the people.
What makes your store special?
Lioness Books is a mobile used bookseller operating in the greater Austin, Texas area. Operating out of a twenty-foot trailer that allows us to bring a selection of used books and gifts to the community, Lioness Books also has the full capabilities of any independent bookstore.
